Holidays my family celebratešŸŽ‰ (student blogging challenge)

In my family, we celebrate many holidays including Christmas, Easter šŸ£ Halloween šŸ‘» Ā and most importantly CHINESE NEW YEAR! But in this blog Iā€™m only going to tell you 1 of them. We celebrate Chinese New Year because I am Chinese. In Chinese New Year šŸ§§, we do many things and one of the thing people do is dragon dancing. We do this to scare away the evil.

In Chinese New Year, we also light up up red lanterns because the evil dragon is scared of the colour red so we could have good luck.

In Chinese New Year, we also have a big feast with family and friends. We usually eat fish šŸ . We also dress in orange or red to keep bad lick away.

Chinese people love the colour red, redĀ isĀ the symbol of energy, happiness and good luck. Sending red envelopes is a way to send good wishes and luck (as well as money). Actually, the significance of red envelopes is the red paper, not the money inside.

That is about it about Chinese New Year. What holidays do you celebrate?
